Project Description
Designed by General Montgomery Meigs (Commissioned by Abraham Lincoln) whom served as quartermaster general at the time of the civil war. The Alexandria Meigs Lodge was constructed sometime around the early 1870’s. Masonry building materials consist of sandstone most likely quarried from the banks of the Potomac River. Stone re-surfacing, point up and reconstruction are all part of this scope.
