The UBER project team represents a wealth of expertise and experience in restoration and renovation of historic and modern structures. Our abilities in construction and restoration engineering are complemented by superior craftsmanship, capabilities in developing innovative solutions and the ability to effectively manage and complete client projects. Our team has extensive experience working with structural engineers, architects and other design specialists to provide a turn-key approach to projects of any size.

Thane Timbers, President

Thane has years of experience in construction management working with masonry, stone and general construction projects from historic to modern. Thane’s noted expertise lies in the planning and executing of large- and small-scale brick and stone masonry restoration projects. From estimating to project management Thane has experienced prior employment with some of the best regarded restoration, new masonry and general contracting companies in the DC metropolitan region. Thane provides UBER and its customers with outstanding skills in collaborative project planning, cost-effective budgeting, scheduling and effective project management from start to finish.

Gary Schue, General Superintendent

Gary has worked in construction since the summer of 1969 and graduated from George Mason University in 1974. In 1974 Gary began working in masonry with United Masonry and went on to open his own masonry company, GC Schue Inc., in 1985. In 2009 Gary decided to close GC Schue Inc. to work as a masonry consultant for large masonry companies completing marquis masonry projects all around the Mid-Atlantic region. In 2018 Gary brought his unique skillset in both new and historic masonry to United Building Envelope Restoration working as General Superintendent.


  

Eric Deitz, Project Manager

Eric has experience in the construction industry with a focus on masonry. He obtained his Bachelor’s and Master’s degrees in historic preservation from Roger Williams University in Bristol, Rhode Island, and has developed an understanding of project management at all stages of construction, including start-up documents, scheduling and planning throughout the job.

Kevin Berkoski, Project Manager

Kevin Berkoski’s experience is in the masonry construction business, with expertise in coordinating projects from initial design, planning, estimating, scheduling, through completion. He brings skills and experience in interacting with and managing tradesmen and subcontractors, ensuring that work schedules are met and project objectives are successfully reached.

Porfirio Munoz, Superintendent

Porfirio has over 20 years of experience in the masonry industry. Beginning in San Marcos, Guatemala, he studied at the Spencer W. Kimball Institute of Technology until 1994. In 1995, Porfirio began work as a masonry laborer in Manassas, Virginia, and was promoted to a foreman three years later. In 2016, UBER elected Porfirio to be a superintendent, which is his role today. Porfirio divides his time between all of UBER’s busy jobsites and uses his advanced technical experience to direct and advise all of our foremen.
