Historic masonry restoration including cleaning and stain removal on exterior masonry, crack repair, Dutchman repair, patching, repointing. Cleaning included general cleaning, biological growth and copper stain removal. A cleaning program was developed for each material, and all chemical cleaners were tested prior to use. The cleaning program included Safe-N-Easy to remove general soiling on limestone, ShoreBest for Copper stain removal and D2 Biological Solution for removing biological growth. At areas where deep cleaning was necessary we used Quintek’s Misting system. Custom colored Jahn restoration mortar was used to patch areas of spalled limestone and custom colored Edison Coatings X-53i injection grout was used at cracks.
